Have you noticed that hockey bags are getting really big, expensive and have a ton of extra features the last few years? Do you just want something that you can throw your equipment in easily without having to organize it? I did. That’s why I bought myself a Warrior Pro Carry Bag.
What is a Warrior Pro Carry Bag?
To put it simply, the Warrior Pro Carry Bag is a big, open bag for your equipment. It is the same size and style that all high level hockey teams use which is why it is called “Pro”. The bag itself is 32″ X 15″ X 20″. This may actually seem a little on the small side if you are used to having a large 40″+ bag but it really isn’t. If you do the math, this size gives you a ton of volume. Most other bags have extra pockets for your skates, clothes, even sometimes helmets. These features work good but they take up a lot of space on their own and seriously decrease the amount of space in the main pocket.
With no pockets where am I going to put my clothes?
This may be a concern for you and if it is then you will be happy to know that the Warrior Pro Carry Bag does still have some internal mesh pockets. Since they are internal they do not take up any extra space on the outside of the bag. They do keep some of your stuff away from the rest of your equipment though. There are 3 pockets along the back, long wall that are all a soft mesh with an elastic top edge to keep things in the pocket.
There are also two pockets on the short sides that are supposed to be skate pockets. They are made of a tougher material than the other pockets. The problem that I have is that they don’t really fit my skates. I wear size 8.5 Bauer Supreme skates and they just don’t fit. It is close but I would have to mess with it to make them get in there. I don’t want to do that. The good thing is that I utilize these pockets for other stuff. I use one pocket to hold my base layer clothes and the other pocket holds my sock tape and skate rag.

How durable is the Warrior Pro Carry Bag?
The Warrior Pro Carry Bag is made of very durable materials. I already mentioned the internal pockets are made of mesh that seems to be very durable. The exterior of the bag is made of Mercury 1000 Denier Polyvinyl. Which is an extremely tough, waterproof material. The straps are not adjustable. They are just a strong nylon material that should last basically forever.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a new hockey bag I would strongly ask you to consider a pro style bag. They are very simplistic but they hold all of your equipment and make it very easy to throw everything in. If you are looking for a specific one the Warrior is a great one to try. It easily fits all of my equipment and takes up less space in my house. I love it and will never go back to a style of bag that is full of pockets but actually cuts down on the amount of space where you really need it which is the main pocket on the bag.
