HolyHigh Truly Wireless Earphones Review

If you follow this website or my YouTube channel you may have noticed that I have a bit of a problem with cheap wireless earbuds. It is not that I don’t like them. It is that I can’t seem to stop buying them. There aren’t too many things that you can get that really give you as much enjoyment and use at such a low price point. The HolyHigh Truly Wireless Earphones definitely fit that description.

Design

The HolyHigh Truly Wireless Earphones are not much different in design than a lot of other earbuds that you see for sale. They can be used as a pair or one at a time, are truly wireless and have a charging case with up to 25 hours of playtime. The main difference that you will find with these earbuds is the silicone “fin”. I wasn’t sure about this at first but after using them I think this is a great addition. This fin slides under a section of your ear and really keeps these earbuds in place. It is barely noticeable and, in my opinion, is a lot better than the over ear design of a lot of earbuds.

The HolyHigh earbuds feature full touch controls to adjust the volume, skip, previous track, etc. The controls are sensitive enough that they work flawlessly. Not so sensitive that you accidentally trigger them though. They also have a built-in mic so you can use them for hands free calling. The case has strong enough magnets that the earbuds snap right into place and don’t bounce around and USB-C for charging which I prefer over micro-usb.

How do they sound?

In my testing the HolyHigh Earbuds sound pretty good. They have decently deep bass, and good mids and treble. There is a slight distortion to the sound at high volumes but these are loud enough that you probably won’t play them that high. They are not noise cancelling earbuds but they do form a good enough seal to block most outside noise. That is about all that you can really expect out of a pair of budget earbuds and these seem to do a better job than most.

Where the HolyHigh Truly Wireless Earphones could use an upgrade is with the microphone. When using them for a call inside they sound fine. I have been told by numerous people on different occasions that the mic is hard to hear in a breeze though. It is loud enough but it seems to be a little too sensitive. It really picks up a lot of wind noise even in a very slight breeze. This makes it really hard for people to hear you. In fact they pick up so much noise that even when there was no wind I had to stop walking because just that created enough noise that the person could barely hear what I was saying. So if you get a lot of calls these may not be the best choice for you.

Conclusion

The HolyHigh Truly Wireless Earphones are a great, cheap set of wireless earbuds. They sound very good and have decent battery life. They pair flawlessly and charge via USB-C. The earbuds do suffer from a bad internal microphone but if you don’t take a lot of calls this shouldn’t be a major problem. Especially for under $25. If you are looking for a good sounding pair of wireless earbuds I would definitely look into the HolyHigh Truly Wireless Earphones.
